About us
About Our Founder
My name is Frank Mercer, founder of Rolling Hills Logistics.
For generations, the Mercer name has been associated with hard work, integrity, service, and faith. My family’s documented history stretches from medieval Scotland to modern America, reflecting a legacy of merchants, craftsmen, pioneers, public servants, and business leaders who believed that a person’s word was their bond.
Historical records trace the Mercer family to Perth, Scotland, where they were respected merchants, civic leaders, and trusted advisors who helped shape one of Scotland’s oldest commercial centers. Through the centuries, my ancestors crossed the Atlantic and helped settle America, building lives in Virginia, Ohio, Illinois, and Indiana as farmers, millwrights, carpenters, railroad craftsmen, and community leaders. Members of my family also dedicated their lives to serving others, including my ancestor Thomas Moses Mercer Sr., who spent approximately three decades as an investigative crime journalist for the Cincinnati Enquirer.
I was raised by Thomas Ronald Mercer and Kathy Mercer (née Reese) and inspired by my grandfather, Thomas M. Mercer Jr. (1936–2021), whose life was centered on faith, family, perseverance, and serving others. Those values continue to guide both my personal life and my business.
Years of Experience
As a Christian, I strive to conduct my business according to traditional biblical principles—honesty, integrity, humility, accountability, compassion, and treating others with fairness and respect. I believe lasting relationships are built on trust, and that success is measured not only by what we accomplish, but by the character we demonstrate along the way.
As the founder of Rolling Hills Logistics, my mission is simple: provide dependable logistics solutions with exceptional customer service, clear communication, and unwavering reliability. Whether coordinating LTL, full truckload, refrigerated, flatbed, oversize, or specialized freight, every shipment is handled with the same care and commitment I would expect for my own business.
Above all, I am proud to be the father of Malachai, Tristan, and Frank Mercer Jr. They are my greatest motivation. Everything I build is with them in mind, and I hope to leave them more than a successful business—I hope to leave them a legacy of faith, integrity, hard work, and service to others.
At Rolling Hills Logistics, every load represents more than freight. It represents a promise. My commitment is to honor that promise by treating every customer, carrier, and business partner with professionalism, honesty, and respect, while remaining grounded in the traditional Christian values that have guided my family for generations.
